David Banner happens to be one of my favorite Hip Hop activists. Why? He’s genuine and its never about image with him. He’s passionate, knowledgeable, articulate, and being from the South, he has a genuine heart for his people when racial injustices occur.
When Banner recently gave his thoughts about racism in America and on CNN, I silently rejoiced. He’s a prominent voice for The Culture and shows no mercy to those on the opposing side. Banner posed a great question : “Isn’t it sad, that as a Black man, we are still arguing about the same thing that my grandparents were complaining about?”. Eloquent reminder that we’re not so far removed from the days of segregated schools and water fountains.
