The 27th Annual Taste of The NFL Charity event was held at the St. Paul River Center over Super Bowl weekend featuring dishes from prominent chefs and, NFL players, Hall of Famers, and other attendees with the common goal to raise money and awareness for hunger relief.
Chef Kent Rathbun
The event’s Founder and Executive Director Wayne Kostroski originated this event in 1992 in Minneapolis as a non-profit celebrity dinner that raised money for hunger relief for all affiliated NFL cities. The annual fundraiser is held the night prior to Super Bowl Sunday in the hosting city, and this was the first time it has been hosted back at its original home since 1992.

Over $25 million has been raised and donated thus far to non-profit organizations and food banks in 32 NFL markets. This is more than 200 million meals and all proceeds benefit each team’s communities. Attendees included famed chef, Chef Kent Rathbun, Chef Tanya of Oakland’s Brown Sugar Kitchen, Kansas City Chief Hall of Fame inductee Bobby Bell, Arizona Cardinal’s A.Q. Shipley, Atlanta Falcons Chris Draft, Oakland Raiders Rich Gannon, Green Bay Packers’ Willie Buchanon and more.
